What is a maximum bid?

A maximum bid is the maximum amount of money you are willing to spend on that item. All bids placed on SWICO Auctions items are considered by the computer as a maximum bid and the computer will bid for you from then next bid until someone out bids your maximum. A lot has a quantity of 1 but says there are several items included in the description, am I bidding on the whole lot or each item times the number described?

When the quantity is 1 then anything and everything in the description is being purchased for the bid amount. When the quantity is greater than 1, then you are bidding on one of the items listed in the description and if you want more than one, change the default amount in the box provided. The default quantity will always be the total number available, so if not changed you will be bidding for the total number available time the bid price, 10 available at bid of $5.00 = $50.00 bid.

How do choice lots work?

Can I get less than all or more than one from a choice lot? Bidder/buyer will have the choice of how many of the items available he wants times the bid price. The quantity available for online items will also be in a box located near the bid box with the total available as default and can be changed by the bidder to the number desired. The bid will then be the number of items desired times the bid amount for total cost, plus buyer fee and tax. First buyer to pick up will get first choice of the items!

How long do we have to pick up purchased items?

Per our Terms   Conditions, buyer will have till noon on the 5th business day after invoice date to make arrangements to pick up the items. Date of invoice is the 10th, arrangements must be made by noon on 17th, if weekend is included. Any pick up time agreed to between buyer and seller is OK.

Can payment be made any other way than a credit card?

Are debit cards accepted? Debit cards are accepted. For online purchases an alternate payment is wire transfer from your bank to SWICO Auctions. Please contact SWICO Auctions prior to the items ending if you would like Wire Transfer instructions. The instructions will be placed on your invoice when this form of payment is desired. Payment by debit or credit card will get you a paid invoice faster and allow you to pick up your purchases faster than any other method. Onsite auction purchases can be paid for by cash or approved check.

When submitting an item to sell what do I put in the quantity blank?

The default is 1, so everything in the description will sell for on price. IF all items are identical and you want to sell them one at a time, then change the default to the number available. Only identical items will be posted for choice bidding.

How do I find out if I was successful bidder on an item?

From the online auction page click on the view past items link located at bottom of the category column to see everything that has closed within the past 30 days. Find the item you are looking for and it will show you the High Bid and the High Bidder. Invoices are processed usually within 1 hour of closing and will be emailed to you as well as they will appear on your User Profile page.

The card number on the invoice does not match the card I have on file?

This is not your card number it is a processing number put on invoices by our card processor.
